Milan Design Week 2023

blond creates casa blond – a pop-up residency in the Brera Design District during Milan Design Week, 17 – 23 April 2023. casa blond will host the full blond studio team throughout the Fuorisalone week, running blond artefacts interactive design sessions for visitors and exhibiting a self-initiated furniture project called the Peel Chair.
casa blond will also play host to blond’s collaboration with two exciting start-up clients. Tesoro, a sustainably driven British homeware company, will soft launch their brand and first product — a homeware-driven and inspired refillable candle. Impulse, a US home electrification startup that decloaked in November 2022 after raising $25m in total funding, will preview its first product — a battery-integrated induction stove.
In celebration of the Salone, across the week, the studio will run blond artefacts – a series of live interactive design sessions for visitors to share in and experience their unique working process. Within blond artefacts, visitors will be encouraged to find ‘offline’ inspiration from real objects selected by blond’s designers and create a sketch in response to their selected inspiration. Each day of Salone, designs will be selected and brought to life by the blond team using 3D printers featured in the space.
