BLOND set out to simplify this process through a connected system that brings together a smart insulin pen, multifunctional storage case and intelligent mobile app. Current smart insulin pens largely replicate the form and interaction of traditional injection devices, reinforcing a clinical aesthetic that can feel outdated and conspicuous when used publicly. The Smart Insulin Pen challenges this established archetype through a reductionist design intended to integrate more naturally into everyday life.
