BLOND CGM

Continuous glucose monitors provide people with an ongoing view of their glucose levels throughout the day. However, current CGM devices are typically designed as fully disposable systems, combining the applicator, sensor and insertion needle into a single-use assembly that is replaced every 10 to 14 days. BLOND set out to rethink this established architecture, creating a more considered CGM system that reduces material use while integrating more naturally into everyday life. The resulting design separates reusable and replaceable elements, pairing a compact wearable sensor with a reusable applicator designed to remain in use across multiple cycles.
