Our work for Rapha captures many disciplines; Interior Design, 3D CAD services, manufacture assistance and recently; visualisation. Despite their simple and elegant aesthetic, these products are surprisingly difficult to photograph – and so, CGI offers a flexible and reliable alternative.

The images, as with all CGI work; are created at print resolution with pixel-prefect clipping-masks, for flexibility, allowing the client to choose background colours and change shadows. Unlike photographers, we do not collect licences, all images are always owned by our client in perpetuity.

We believe a CGI image is only as good as the textures. Using material samples supplied by Rapha’s in-house design team, we created and perfected textures such as; perforated leather and satin carbon fibre. This attention to detail ensures the image is as close as possible to the real product.

To go one-step further for our client; we generated each and every perforation in 3D CAD. This creates realistic shadows and depth, heightening the realism of the image.
